PeerLoop Opening soon at peerloop.si

Free · private · peer to peer

The server introduces you, then steps out.

PeerLoop is calls and chat straight between two devices. Our server passes along the few details your devices need to find each other. After that, your voice, video and words travel directly from one to the other, encrypted, and nothing is kept when you hang up.

  • No account needed to call
  • Nothing stored after the call
  • Sign-in optional, with AuthBOLT
How a PeerLoop call connects Two devices each reach the PeerLoop server to swap connection details. Then a direct, encrypted line opens between the two devices and the server is no longer in the path. offer · answer · ICE peerloop.si direct · encrypted you them
The server carries a few kilobytes of connection details. It never carries the call.

Three steps, then the server is out of it

Every call follows the same short sequence. Only the second step touches our server.

  1. Open the same link

One of you starts a room and sends its link. The other opens it in any modern browser. No sign-up.

  2. The introduction

Each device tells the server how it can be reached: an offer, an answer and its network addresses (ICE candidates). The server hands them across. That is all it does.

  3. A direct line

Your devices connect to each other and encrypt everything between them (DTLS-SRTP, built into WebRTC). The server is no longer in the path, and the call leaves nothing on it.

Some networks block direct connections. When they do, a relay (TURN) passes the packets between you. It only ever sees encrypted bytes, never what you say or show.

AuthBOLT · built on BOLT (b017)

Sign in only if you want more

Calls need nothing. For a workspace with channels, contacts and roles for your team, you sign in with an AuthBOLT: an identity token you issue yourself and keep in your wallet.

  • No passwordYour wallet signs a challenge from the server. There is nothing to steal, guess or reuse.
  • Your words stay yoursEvery message carries your signature, so the server cannot post in your name.
  • Still freePeerLoop pays the small on-chain fee that creates and moves your token.
  • Messages on a timerEach channel sets how long its messages are kept.

Workspaces are by invitation: an admin sends you a link. Sign-in works in the Hodos browser, whose wallet holds your AuthBOLT. BOLT tokens and AuthBOLT come from the BOLT Association.

The same keys pay for computing power on GPUte

PeerLoop puts b017 to work for identity. GPUte puts it to work for compute: GPU and CPU time, billed by the second in b017 credits, for anyone with a job to run.

  • For people and for agentsRun a script from the command line, the web app or a coding agent. A person and an agent pay the same way, under the same cap.
  • Pay for running secondsA job's time limit is the most it can cost. Queueing and setup are free, and what a job doesn't use comes back to you.
  • A key, not a formAs on PeerLoop, you sign in with a key you hold. There is no password.
  • Built from PeerLoop's codeGPUte's server follows PeerLoop's: one small Go program with no third-party dependencies.

GPUte is a pre-launch concept: no service is live yet and prices are not set.
